SHOWER DOORS

By-Pass Frameless Shower doors are the most popular style of glass enclosures for on top of a tub. They can also be utilized for alcove showers without tubs. Much like the Splash Guard style, By-Pass Frameless Shower doors are a great alternative to shower curtains. Not only do they let in more light, opening up your bathroom, they can be easier to maintain than shower curtains that tend to build up soap scum and other contaminants that are difficult to remove. The glass we install is treated with DFI, a protective coating that makes the glass easier to clean and maintain. This style is designed with two 3/8" thick tempered clear glass doors attached to a metal header at the top and slide on a track system installed at the bottom. While the glass doors are frameless, the unit can be designed with what looks like a frame around the perimeter. The more popular "all glass" appearance of this style is achieved with polycarbonate side jambs, but if a frame look is desired, metal side jambs can be installed. The metal options we typically have in stock for this style are Brite Anodized, Brite Gold Anodized, Brushed Nickel, and Oil Rubbed Bronze finishes.
